In association with the University of Queensland, Lendlease, Ergon Energy and Energy Queensland, Power Grid Solutions (PGS) are a proud lead partner of the 64MW Warwick Solar Farm, which officially opened in mid-July.
Energy Queensland’s Sladevale Substation & associated HV/LV infrastructure, which is adjacent to the UQ Substation, was recently designed by Power Grid Solutions. This electrical infrastructure connects the dedicated assets for the 64MW Warwick Solar Farm, enabling the University of Queensland to shift to 100 per cent renewable energy. 
Scope of Work
  • Design of all secondary and primary systems associated with the Warwick solar farm Switching Station which consists of 2 incoming 33kV Feeders from the Warwick Solar Farm (64MW) and 4 x 33kV outgoing Feeders to Warwick, Killarney and Allora
  • Insulation coordination studies
  • Lightning protection
  • Lighting design
  • Load flow and protection studies
  • AC and DC system sizing
  • 33kV UG cable rating
  • Control building services (Microstation Drafting Services).
